All of DBA's Disaster Relief units have been busy during 2011 helping with the wildfires that have plagued Texas.   Feeding crews deployed to Mineral Wells and Bastrop, to help feed fire fighters and relief workers.  The shower unit was deployed to Mineral Wells, in support of fire-fighters and relief workers.  The chainsaw unit was deployed for 3 weeks to Bastrop to help folks recover from the devasting losses as shown above.
Training Schedule

Texas Baptist Men's Disaster Relief offers training in many areas all over the state.  Here is the link to their training calendar:   http://texasbaptistmen.org/dnn/Ministries/DisasterRelief/DRTrainingDates/tabid/127/Default.aspx

Occasionally DBA also offers some of this training here locally, the table below gives the current local training situation.   Duane Chance is the DBADR training coordinator.    For church groups of 20 or more,  yellow cap training can be arranged at your church or other meeting place provided it is also made open to others who may wish to attend.    If interested in this option please send an email to Duane at dbadrcoordinators@hotmail.com     (As with everything else, disaster deployments take precedence over training, so schedules can change with little notice.)
